Cozy Cat Crochet

This artist captivated me with the photography of her endearing cat pillows. Ralitza at zolayka on etsy will crochet a pillow to remind you of your beloved kitty. All she needs is a few photos of your furry friend and her hook and yarn will start flying. Her crafty cat crochet is just the tip of the talent truck. More crochet treasures await; lace wrist cuffs and socks, hats, baskets, and doilies. Her wide range of emoticons is sure to bring a smile, and those amigurumi owls are show stoppers for any owl collector!

When Raliza is not wielding a hook she works with knitting needles or a needle and thread. Embroidery hoop wall art, accent pillows, and so much more is waiting to be discovered in her shops. Be sure to see her line of french macaron coin purses. They make wonderful little zippered treasure boxes and would be perfect bridesmaid gifts.

Ralitza creatively crochets her cats in Bulgaria, ships internationally, and is found on Facebook. You will find more of her work on her website, and she keeps a second etsy shop, Bubabuba, with her creative overflow. Special orders are no problems for this artist, just contact her. How does this actress, musician, mommy, shop owner find the time to be so creative?

Plarn Creations

As many of you know, recycling is dear to my heart. Anything we can do to keep materials from our landfill is a benefit to all, and the creative recycling and upcycling of these materials, turning them into beautiful and useful items, is very satisfying.

There is a shop on ArtFire doing just that, KConkle.
Karen crochets a line of beautiful bags and totes made from 100% recycled plastic shopping bags in a range of lovely colors and designs. Her husband Terry offers wonderful support and collects bags from coworkers who know of Karen's marvelous creative talent.

Karen hooks her eco-friendly creations in Kansas, ships internationally, and can be found on Facebook. Like me, she has recently opened a shop at ShopHandmade, and should have it stocked with more of her wonderful recycled treasures shortly.
Plarn is soft, strong, waterproof, and has marvelous insulating properties. Be sure to stop by her ArtFire blog if you would like to know the secret to perfectly cutting a bag into a long usable length of Plarn to crochet or knit your own upcycled item. Thank you Karen, I applaud your efforts!

Creative Crochet

The colorful basket weave crocheted afghan at LovingHandsCrochet, an Etsy shop, caught my eye. I have seen this interesting design done before in fabrics, but never knit or crocheted. What a warm blanket this must be, and her stained glass blanket reminds me of one I made many years ago to put away loose ends. Her shop has a wonderful selection of machine washable afghans ready to adorn your rocking chair and wrap you in handmade elegance.

A strong passion for crochet is this lady’s driving force, but I don't know where this homeschooling mother of five finds time to make all her delightful creations. She has the cutest little outfit and animal hat patterns available in her shop, and a very nice shamrock afghan pattern. If you love her designs, but don’t have the time or inclination to make it yourself, she will crochet one of her patterns for you. The elephant hat would be so special for your little one to wear as they tour the zoo!

She magically twists her yarn in Colorado and ships internationally. I first ran across her treasures on zibbet, and she can also be found on Facebook. I can truly appreciate the time she invests in each of her crocheted masterpieces. If you don't see your favorite color, just ask and she will be happy to work with you.

Doily Heirloom Art

I can appreciate the many hours of work that go into the beautiful works of crocheted art found at Doily Mania, an ArtFire shop. I had never seen the delightful bumblebee pattern before, and there are some eye-catching shapes and color combinations. Butterflies, chicks, and bunnies can be found among the flowers, palms, and pineapples. Zagorka has devoted years to her mastery of the crocheted arts, and her skill is very evident in the heirloom quality items you will discover in this amazing shop.

This mother daughter team works beautifully together. Zagorka is the creative genius behind the crocheted treasures and her daughter, Gloria, handles the computer and business end of things. If you see a pattern you like, but would prefer a different color or size, contact Gloria. They are happy to take customer orders.

Zagorka wields her magic hook in Idaho and ships internationally. More stunning crocheted artwork is found at their etsy shop. They have a new family member, Riku, and his pictures are on their Facebook fan page.

Yoyo Bunnies!

I had never heard of crocheted yoyos before I ran across this shop. The only yoyos I knew of were made of fabric. The wonderful creativity of the artisan community never ceases to amaze me. I certainly enjoy exploring new shops every week.

Sherri loves to crochet, and this is very evident by the over 80 crocheted items you will find in her CraftisArt shop. Besides these adorable bunnies awaiting adoption, you will find dainty ballet slippers waiting for a princess, a roll-it-up checkers set, blankets, bags, a pizza hot mat, and so many other unique items that you will just have to take a peek. You won't want to miss Baby's First Teddy, another fabulous idea!

This shop has closed - but the photos are fabulous.
